“THESE ADVANCED PROGRAMS ARE ONLY FOR LICENSED NAIL TECHNICIANS AND COSMETOLOGISTS IN THE USA”
“IN OTHER COUNTRIES YOU MUST MEET YOUR NAIL TECHNICIAN REGULATIONS”
The soakless
protocol is not new—it was first performed in the 90s as a shortcut to
manicuring, but it is now more refined, expanded into pedicuring, and goes far
beyond the "quicky" attitude. Soakless manicures and pedicures offer
many advantages to nail professionals and are now going beyond a trend into
becoming the usual protocol in many salons. The list of benefits includes more
than speed, as follows.
1.The natural nail adhesives holding the layers of the nails together are protected from dissolution, preventing delamination caused by soaking products.
2.The client appreciates
three massages, and this replaces the desires for bubbles in a water bath. The
first massage is during the manipulation of the cleanser on the feet;
the second is the scrub massage, a gentle manipulation of a scrub product to remove the
surface dead skin cells from the skin to allow penetration of treatment ingredients; the third is the
traditional relaxation massage.
3.The service takes less
time due to no filling and emptying time, no cleansing/disinfection of a soak bowl, and no "set time" for disinfection.
4.Polish retention is
enhanced due to no softening and reshaping of the nail plate before application.
5.Soakless protocols allow
more time for pampering the client and prep for the next client.
6. Soakless protocols are
less stressful and fatiguing due to less body movement as during the
filling/emptying processes and the disinfection process.
7. State boards love it,
removing the necessity for logging disinfection activities. In-the-know boards
know it is more hygienic. (Do check with your state boards, though, as some are
not up with the times on this, nor have the required knowledge.)
8. Alleviates costly soak and most disinfection products, allowing more profitability for the salon/professionals.
9. No expensive, plumbed
chair is needed.
10. Due to the illnesses reportedly caused by soaking services, physicians, and podiatrists prefer soakless manicures and pedicures for their patients and more readily refer to technicians performing these pedicures.
These
benefits make soakless pedicures more desirable to nail technicians and
salon/spa owners.
